Vote for Hell, Inc. on Top Webcomics!

It was pointed out to me that I should probably update the blog so that the top post isn’t a sale from two months ago, so let’s talk about Top Webcomics! It’s a site for webcomic readers to discover new comics to read, and is the largest source of new readers for Hell, Inc. The more votes a comic gets, the higher its ranking, and the more easily people will see it. So click on the banner to vote, which you can do daily!

Free Shipping to Canada from my Store in October

That’s right, if you’re in Canada and want to buy some of my books, you can do that AND get free shipping! No code is necessary!

The pandemic has highlighted that I’m pretty good at selling books if I’m in-person at events but VERY BAD at selling books via the internet, so help me empty out what has turned into a closet of shame (although it does look much better since I got new shelves and reorganized everything). Click on my well-organized closet to buy some Hell, Inc. books, GWAR books, Hockeypocalypse, or any of my other myriad titles!

Hell, Inc. Volume 3 – Team-Building Exercise

I’ve been at home even more than normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and have spent a lot of that time writing and drawing Hell, Inc. strips. So much time, in fact, that the entire third book is done and formatted!

On the down side, the bulk of my income during isolation has been reduced to what’s coming in through Patreon. That’s not ideal. So I decided to combine those two things – during isolation I’ve been offering the digital comics currently available in the $5 as a one time sign-up gift for new Patrons. With the completion of book 3, I’m going to upload the digital edition for patrons. That’s going to be the only way to get early access to book 3 – everyone else will have to wait until it out in print alongside book 4.

So if you think Hell, Inc. is worth a buck (or more), head over to the Patreon and download your copy of Hell, Inc. Vol. 3 – “Team-Building Exercise!”

Sequential Magazine Awards Finalist!

The post title kind of explains the whole story – I’ve been nominated for a Sequential Magazine Award in the Favourite Cartoonist category. While not explicitly an award for Hell, Inc., it was based on my cartooning output from 2019, which was 90% Hell, Inc. and 10% the far more popular 11 pages of GWAR: The Enormogantic Fail that I drew. Sequential Magazine is a digital and physical publication that covers Canadian independent comics (which, realistically, is all of Canadian comics unless you’re working for a major book-market publisher). The awards are sponsored by Strange Adventures Comics & Curiosities in Nova Scotia.

The awards are voted on by YOU, the comic reading audience, so I would appreciate it if you would go vote Jeff Martin as Favourite Cartoonist. There’s a physical award involved, and I want it haha. Click on the picture to vote!

Hell, Inc. is coming to Webtoon

Do you read Hell, Inc.? You’re reading this, so probably. Do you read comics on the Line Webtoon app? If so, you’ll soon be able to do both of those things AT THE SAME TIME.

On Monday, January 6th, Hell, Inc. will be launching on the Webtoon app in their vertical, scrolling format. I’ve restructured the first 25 pages for that format, and if the Webtoon posts pick up decent readership traction, I’ll continue reformatting strips until everything is available both on this site and the Webtoon app. I’ll be posting daily for the first week on Webtoon, then settling into a twice-a-week schedule until the Webtoon posts catch up with this site.

Click here to check out Webtoon, and if it seems like a way you want to read Hell, Inc., download the app (it’s free). Also, uh, let me know, because that’s useful information for me to have.

Vote for Hell, Inc. on Top Webcomics!

Hell, Inc. has been on Top Webcomics for… I dunno, six months or so? In that time, the readership has grown A LOT, and that’s a pretty direct result of people voting for the comic on Top Webcomics. The more votes the comic gets, the higher it’s ranked, and the more webcomic readers will see it, which brings in more new readers.

You can vote once per day, and votes early in the month are particularly impactful, so vote early and often! Click the image below to vote!

LAST DAY for Hell, Inc. on Kickstarter!

It’s the last day of the Hell, Inc. Kickstarter! It ends at 3 PM Mountain time (5 Eastern, 2 Pacific), so if you haven’t got your pledge in yet, there’s no time to waste! It’s rapidly approaching the $3K stretch goal, which will unlock the black and white Hell, Inc. comics for all backers. That’s FOUR books for $20 Canadian plus shipping. If you’re reading this, you already like the comic, so click the image below to pledge and get your name in the book!

Kickstarter Week 4 – Less Than 72 Hours Left!

WHOA! The Hell, Inc. Kickstarter campaign is very close to wrapping up. As of the time of writing, there’s less than 72 hours left. By the time you read it, there’s probably much less than that. Do you want to get the awesome new Hell, Inc. books before everyone else, and also get the original black and white Hell, Inc. comics (if we hit the stretch goal)? Of course you do. If you’ve been reading the comic, and like it (which, if you’re reading it… you probably do?), pledging toward the Kickstarter is the absolute best way to support it. Reviews:

We’ve got some more media to shout out this week. Thanks to the folks at The Comic Book Yeti (reviewer Wells Thompson, specifically) for reviewing the new Hell, Inc. books and joining the ranks of people other than me who are telling you that these books are great.

I’m going to keep things short this week, as the final Kickstarter wrap-up next week will probably be a bit lengthy. In the meantime, if you’ve considered supporting the campaign, GO DO IT NOW.
